Chloé Zhao con 4 candidature personali e l’esordiente Emerald Fennell con 3, Mank di David Fincher primatista con 10 nomination ma certo di perdere dinanzi a Nomadland, già Leone d’Oro; Viola Davis attrice afroamericana più nominata di sempre e Glenn Close alla caccia di quell’Oscar sempre sfuggitole per la nona volta; la folle assenza di Tenet di Christopher Nolan da montaggio e sonoro, con appena 2 nomination totali a sfregio; Pinocchio che meriterebbe i due Oscar per trucco, parrucco e costumi; Laura Pausini che sogna l’impossibile grazie a Diane Warren, a caccia del primo Oscar alla sua 12esima nomination; Riz Ahmed nominato per la clamorosa prova di Sound of Metal, così come l’incredibile Carey Mulligan di Promising Young Woman e la bravissima Maria Bakalova di Borat 2; completamente snobbato Charlie Kaufman e il suo ipnotico Sto pensando di finirla qui, così come Spike Lee per la regia di Da 5 bloods, Amy Adams per Elegia Americana, Meryl Streep per The Prom e Tom Hanks per News of the World. E per finire il mio amatissimo Wolfwalkers, che sogno possa battere Soul e Onward tra i lungometraggi animati, perché capolavoro di questi ultimi 12 mesi animati.
