Oscar del teatro inglese che hanno visto The Band’s Visit vincere praticamente di tutto, con lo straordinario Angels in America eletto Best Revival e i suoi due attori protagonisti, il gigantesco Nathan Lane e Andrew Garfield, meritatamente premiati. «È per le innumerevoli persone che hanno lottato e che sono morte per il diritto di vivere e amare, così come sono state create», ha detto Garfield dal palco, seguito a ruota da un emozionato Lane: «Sono qui grazie a Tony Kushner, che ha scritto una delle opere più belle del 20esimo secolo e che ancora si rivolge a noi mentre viviamo un’epoca di insanità politica».
