Golden Globe 2021, le nomination: assente Sophia Loren, c’è Laura Pausini

27 anni dopo la nomination firmata Prèt-à-Porter, Sophia Loren non ce l’ha fatta.
L’86enne attrice italiana NON è stata candidata ai Golden Globe 2021 come miglior attrice drammatica grazie a La vita davanti a sè del figlio Edoardo Ponti.
Al suo posto Viola Davis per il sopravvalutato “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”, l’eccezionale Frances McDormand di “Nomadland”, l’iconica Carey Mulligan di “Promising Young Woman”, l’abbagliante Vanessa Kirby di “Pieces of a Woman” e la sorpresa Andra Day di “The United States vs. Billie Holiday”. Tra gli attori drama il bravissimo Riz Ahmed, il compianto Chadwick Boseman, Anthony Hopkins, Gary Oldman e l’inatteso Tahar Ramin di “The Mauritanian”.

Tre su 5 le registe donne, record mai visto prima, ovvero Emerald Fennell per Promising Young Woman, Regina King per One Night in Miami e la super favorita  Chloé Zhao per Nomadland, affiancate da David Fincher con Mank e Aaron Sorkin con The Trial of the Chicago 7. Grande sconfitto Christopher Nolan con Tenet, praticamente fuori da tutto.
