Con l’arrivo di luglio, il 2012 ha fatto ufficialmente il giro del boa.
Metà anno se n’è già andato, regalandoci una certezza ‘numerica’. Ovvero la conferma di Adele, Regina di vendite anche nel 2012, dopo aver dominato in lungo e in largo il 2011.
21 ha infatti venduto 3.690.0000 copie SOLO sul suolo americano, massacrando Tuskegee di Lionel Richie, secondo classificato a quota 912.000 copie. MAI NESSUNO, fino ad oggi, è riuscito nell’impresa di conquistare il titolo di ‘album più venduto’ per due anni consecutivi. Adele, ormai è evidente, è ad un niente dal riuscirci. Medaglia di bronzo a sorpresa per Up all night degli One Direction (899.000 copie), seguiti da Whitney: the greatest hits di Whitney Houston (818.000) e dalla compilation Now 41 (714.000). Solo TREDICESIMO, ed è un risultato a dir poco clamoroso, MDNA di Madonna (appena 484,000 copie, neanche un singolo in Top20: oggettivamente un disastro), dinanzi ad un mercato, quello americano, riuscito a smerciare ben 150.460.000 dischi in 180 giorni. No dico, mica cazzo.
