Banks — who attends Alief Hastings High School in Houston, Texas — has spent most of her senior year at MD Anderson Cancer Center fighting a rare stage four cancer, according to KIAH, a local news station. Earlier this month, the school district held a special early graduation ceremony for Banks, whose nickname is “Ebob,” in the hospital. And as the ultimate graduation present, Banks’ friends and classmates created the hashtag #EBOBMEETSBEYONCE on social media so that she could meet with Beyoncé in an effort to help make one of her biggest dreams come true." La popstar ha voluto fare un omaggio ad una fan che sta combattendo contro un raro tipo di cancro in fase avanzata.
Il sogno di Ebony, questo il suo nome, era quello di incontrare Queen B, con tanto di  hastag (#EBOBMEETSBEYONCE) creato ad hoc dai suoi amici per attirare l’attenzione della popstar.
E Beyonce, ovviamente, ha risposto, con una videochiamata su Facetime che ha fatto impazzire di gioia la donna, attualmente in ospedale.
Perché a volte basta poco, soprattutto se sei famoso, per strappare un sorriso a chi ne ha maledettamente bisogno.
